SHIINE: Challenge III (Colour Competition)

Yeahh the second one of my entries for Round 2 of SHIINE. We had to design a male and a female outfit, both with the theme of 'flow' in mind. One had to use a greyscale scheme and the other had to include all primary and secondary colours.

I actually have a lot of things to say about this one. Feel free to not read any of the following lol.

FEMALE: When I thought about designing the female outfit, I thought of water. So a lot of things are meant to be like the flow of water. There are drops and 'ripples' in quite a few places.

The lines on the top part of her dress are meant to look like they're dripping down into the bottom half whose ends are 'splashed'.

The head piece was sort of inspired by the waves of water as they come down a waterfall? (but there are only two 'waves' here lol i suck)

I went with greyscale for the female outfit because I wanted a sort of calm elegance for the design.

MALE: With the male oufit, I thought of the flow of time, and when I thought of time I also thought of music and the progression of a day.

It ended up kind of... chaotic... like some sort of eccentric conductor (there's a baton there too).
So yep this one was harder because wow so many colours, and in the end I'm still not really pleased with them.

Funnily enough, the male outfit took much less time to do, probably because it didn't have so many uhh weird curved lines (which take me a while sometimes??)


But yeahh I'll shut up now.
